Appalachia Restaurant is possibly the best restaurant in Lake Lure offering seasonal dishes with local flair and traditional Appalachian cuisine along with a spectacular view of the lake. Reservations are highly recommended.
Chimney Rock Brewery is hands down our favorite place to have a beer in Chimney Rock. Sit on the decks overlooking the Rocky Broad River or on a hot day sip it in the river. The actual brewery is located in Mars Hill about 1 ½ hours from Lake Lure. If you’re up for the adventure it is located in an historic theater.
Chimney Rock Smokehouse is just across the street from the Chimney Rock State Park entrance and is great for that local BBQ flavor.
The Highlands Kitchen + Bar is a casual, but more upscale dining experience with an outdoor dining view of the lake. The cocktail menu is also a must. Reservations encouraged.
La Strada is classic Italian food, great pizza with a great view of the lake and full bar.
Lured Market & Grill is a great place to hang out and enjoy great food and music. It boasts stunning views of the marina and hosts trivia nights. The market inside is filled with local crafts and snacks.
Mountain Brook Vineyards has incredible wine in an atmosphere to fully enjoy it as you look out over the vineyard or sit around the massive fire pit. They have live music most days. It’s a beautiful drive from Lake Lure.
Parker-Binns Vineyard is a family owned and operated vineyard in the Tryon Foothills. A perfect setting for a perfect glass of wine. Their burger menu is delicious too.
Relish Food Truck is located just on the edge of town limits and their hand-crafted menu is sure to satisfy breakfast and lunch. The menu changes weekly with one of a kind specials. This is a must stop.
The Shaded Crest is a six-cabin retreat atop a hill on seven private heavily wooded acres in Western North Carolina. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hike, a day on the lake or The Rocky Broad River, or a wandering drive to explore the many small towns or cities close to Lake Lure.
