Booking & Guests

The lead guest must be at least 21 years of age at the time of booking. Maximum occupancy for each cabin is listed on our website and must be respected.

Only the guests named on the reservation may use the property and its facilities. Visitors are not permitted without prior approval.

If someone books on behalf of the lead guest, the booking party remains responsible for the reservation, including cancellations, non-arrivals, and any damages.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept debit or credit card payments over the phone only. We do not accept bank transfers, checks, or cash deposits.

Your reservation is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

We ask all guests to respect the peace and privacy of fellow guests, neighbors, and the owners. We reserve the right to end a stay without refund if this is not honored.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
If you plan to arrive after 8:00 PM, please let us know in advance. We’re on-site and happy to coordinate a smooth, easy arrival for you.

Check-out: 10:00 AM

Timely departures allow us to properly prepare for incoming guests. Late check-outs may result in additional charges.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.

• More than 14 days before arrival: Full refund
• 14 days to 24 hours before arrival: 50% refund
• Within 24 hours of arrival: No refund

Holiday and holiday weekend reservations are non-refundable.

Guests who do not arrive for their stay will forfeit the full amount paid.

In the rare event we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, our liability is limited to refunding any payments received.

Damages & Lost Property

The lead guest is responsible for any damage caused during the stay. Please report accidental damage promptly so we can address it. Charges for damages may be applied to the card on file.

Lost keys will incur a replacement charge.

Any lost items found will be held for 30 days. We are happy to assist with return shipping at the guest’s expense, but are not responsible for replacing lost belongings.

Smoking

Smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and vaping devices, is permitted on your private deck only.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside cabins and in communal areas. A $150 cleaning fee will apply for violations.

Pets & Service Animals

Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.

Parking

On-site parking is available. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

The Shaded Crest is a six-cabin getaway perched atop a hill on seven quiet, wooded acres in Western North Carolina.
