About The Property
Tucked away in the center of it all
The Shaded Crest is a six-cabin retreat atop a hill on seven private, heavily wooded acres in Western North Carolina. Nestled above Lake Lure and just four miles from Chimney Rock State Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hike or a scenic drive through the many small towns and mountain cities nearby. Please note: due to storm damage, there is currently no access to Lake Lure or the Rocky Broad River. However, local restaurants and shops remain open and are eager to welcome you.
We encourage our guests to explore the natural beauty of the region, then return to The Shaded Crest to relax and reconnect. Whether you’re lounging by the saltwater pool, sharing stories around the fire pit, or enjoying a meal at the communal bar top and dining tables, our shared spaces are a meaningful part of the experience—designed to bring people together in a laid-back, welcoming setting.
Shaded Crest is built to suit every traveler’s pace—secluded yet accessible, with opportunities to connect or retreat as you choose. Just as nature requires time, people need time—time away from the everyday to rest and recharge. Through our comfortably designed interiors and restorative outdoor spaces, we aim to create a place where everyone feels welcome to unwind and come as they are.
