Check-in: 4:00pm / Check-out: 10:00am. Please call us if you anticipate arriving after 8pm so that other arrangements can be made. Please turn in your key and be sure to check your room for all personal belongings. We require adequate time to clean cabins to accommodate the next guests. We will gladly do our best to accommodate any requests for a later check-out. A $50 re-keying charge is added for keys not returned to management.

The Shaded Crest is located at 1491 Memorial Hwy., Lake Lure, NC 28746. There is a lighted sign at the bottom of the driveway. Please note that your GPS may show the driveway sooner than it actually is so please look for our sign.

When arriving via US 64W we are on the left 0.8 miles past the Lake House Restaurant. If you are arriving via US 64E through Chimney Rock our driveway is on the right after Beverly Hanks Realty.

Yes, guests must be over the age of 21 to book a reservation. We do not accept reservations from parents or guardians for guests under 21 years of age and for safety we do not allow teens or young children to stay in cabins without adult supervision.

We do not allow pets and only accept service animals that fall under the ADA guidelines. Emotional support/therapy dogs are not considered service animals – they are pets. Please do not try to pass your pet off as a service animal – it is an insult to true service animals and their owners. We have three furry family members, Bolt is our friendly dog and collared. Rocky and Kacie are our two indoor/outdoor cats. Please do not let them in your cabin. Guests who arrive with pets will be charged the full rate, as a cancellation.

Unfortunately, we are not operating the previous restaurant at this time.  Please see our list of favorite local restaurants under “Things to Do.”

Upon booking, you will be charged the full amount of your stay including taxes and fees. We understand unexpected things happen. As a small family-run business we rely on the commitment of our guests to stay in operation. For cancellations, within 14 days or more of arrival, a full refund will be issued. A 50% refund will be issued if canceling 8-14 days prior to check-in.  No refunds will be given if canceling within 7 days prior to check-in. Reservations for holidays or holiday weekends cannot be canceled or refunded.  “No Shows” will be charged for the entire reservation booked. However, if your cabin gets rebooked for your dates, you will be notified and receive a full refund.

Anyone under the age of 18 must always be under supervision. Children are not permitted in the Perch, Snug, or Roost; these cabins are 21 and over only.

Smoking is permitted on your private deck only.  There is no smoking in any communal areas.  Absolutely no smoking or use of any type of tobacco products inside rooms, including vape pens. Guest will be charged an additional $150 for deep cleaning and sanitizing. Please use provided ashtrays as cigarettes are an immediate fire hazard and we’re in the middle of a heavily wooded area. Please be considerate of your neighbors.

The pool and spa is open from 9am to dusk, seasonally, depending on weather. The spa is heated and is for registered guests only.  Children under 18 must always be supervised.

The communal area is open 7am to 10pm. The outdoor kitchen hours are 9am-9pm. Please be respectful of other guests when enjoying the communal area.

We do not encourage a one-night stay as you cannot benefit from the full range of things to do in the area. However, we understand needing “down time” from your hectic lifestyle or are traveling through town and need a place to stay. Booking the day of is based on availability between existing reservations. Please call us to confirm availability

Free high-speed fiber optic wi-fi is provided throughout the entire property. All cabins have a Smart TV. 

Yes, we do. Please note the apron of the driveway is steep and concrete. Then it transitions into a steeper gravel driveway. As a motorcyclist, I don’t encourage those who aren’t experienced in riding gravel roads.

We are unable to accept motorhomes, trailers, or boats as there is not enough space to park them. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Because we are surrounded by natural forestry and the risk of fire is great, we have a gas grill and flat top grill for your convenience along with basic grilling utensils.  We do not allow charcoal grills.

All cabins have heat, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. The Perch and The Snug also have small gas fireplaces.

We offer military and loyalty discounts. There are also varying rates when booking the entire property depending on the nature of the booking. Please contact us directly for details. There are no discounts on holidays or holiday weekends. Sign up for our quarterly newsletter and follow us on social media for impromptu promotions.  For the best and lowest rates book directly through our website.

We suggest bringing your own toiletries and pool towels. We can provide these upon request. Ingles is a 5-minute drive to stock your fridge for any items you may have forgotten. Although we equip the kitchens with the basics, you may want to bring your favorite cooking or serving items. It goes without saying hiking boots and a good book should make the list. We also provide linens, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper.

The Haven, Perch, and Roost have full kitchens. The Snug does not have an oven but comes with a dual induction cooktop. These cabins come with dishware, silverware, glasses and basic cookware and utensils. The Garden Studio kitchenettes are complete with a mini fridge with freezer, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and electric water kettle. These two cabins have dishware, silverware and glasses. All cabins come with coffee, sugar and creamers. There is an outdoor shared gas grill and flat top with basic grilling utensils.

Please note the Garden Studios do not have any cooking appliances
