The Shaded Crest is a retreat atop a hill on seven private heavily wooded acres in Western North Carolina. It’s 4 miles from Chimney Rock State Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The private cabins and outdoor communal areas are designed with every traveler in mind.

Our property consists of four structures housing six unique rental units, offering comfortable accommodations for up to 18 guests. The upper-level communal space includes a propane grill, dining tables, and a concrete bar top overlooking the spacious propane fire pit. For ultimate relaxation, the lower-level features a refreshing saltwater pool and a heated saltwater spa, perfect for unwinding.

This makes it perfect for couples, and friends traveling together, or for hosting retreats, reunions, and large gatherings. We hope that everyone feels welcome to come as you are and enjoy a tranquil stay with us.

The Perch

This tasteful 1 bed, 1 bath is the upper level of a 2-story log cabin with a dedicated entrance. This cabin is ideal for individuals or couples who enjoy the comforts of home while traveling.

The Snug

This intimate private studio is on the lower level of a 2-story log cabin with a private entrance. This studio is perfect for individuals or couples looking to connect and recharge.

The Roost

This comfortable 1 bed, 1 bath stand-alone “tiny house” log cabin is ADA-accessible. The large private wrap-around deck favors canopy views of the trees and welcomes lounging and alfresco dining.

Garden Studio A

A spacious duplex studio that has a walk-in rain shower. It has immediate access to the communal area. The pool and hot tub are just steps away. The kitchenette is complete with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and electric water kettle. Please note that no cooking appliances or hot plates are included.

Garden Studio B

The Haven

This relaxed 2 bed, 2 bath private cottage sits towards the back of the property. This cabin is ideal for groups of friends or families seeking a peaceful retreat.
